April 4, 2016

Predictions of rain and thunder storms proved to be incorrect and the sun did not disappoint.  We went to Roswell, GA, which 30-40 minutes away to walk the Chattahoochee River trails.  It is an historical location of industrial mill in the 1800s.

I am sure that the dam provided power to the mills.  The first two pictures are from side angles and the third is from the river bank above the dam.

The last picture is of the covered bridge that is over the river.

History, exercise, and a relaxing day rolled into one.  I want to return in the Fall to compare these springtime shots with those of the Fall foliage.

Why the color of the water?  It is a muddy river.  Why do you think that there is not Chattahoochee River Bottling Company?

  1. You have the best places around there for hiking! Glad you enjoyed it, it looks beautiful, even the muddiness of the water!
