Last evening, First Redeemer Church, in Cumming, GA has it's annual Independence Day celebration. The fireworks are great and very noisy this year. They also honor veterans in attendance by introducing them individual and giving them each a gift for making independence possible.
My set up for taking the pictures was different than I have done previously, when shooting fireworks. I set the focus just short of 'infinity,' put the camera in manual mode, set the shutter at 'bulb,' the shutter stays open as long as I had the shutter release engaged, and composed the shot with the first fireworks display in the sky...and left it there. I never changed any settings thereafter.
