Day Two (part one).

Today, we drove west from Galway along the coast and then we turned north to Connemara area, which is wide open, and the land is rocky.  If one thinks that New England has miles of stone walls, they need to see Ireland.  If there is money in exporting stones, the Irish would complete with the Saudis in wealth.

We crisscrossed the area seeing sights that were beautiful, unique, and not your typical settings plush green landscapes, cathedrals, and quaint towns.  A memorable day ending at the Kylemore Abbey, which had closed prior to arriving there.  I did get a picture of the Abbey from a different angle than one would normally see in a brochure, which will be posted later.
