March 1, 2016

I went for a walk on the Big Creek Greenway at lunch time yesterday.  I have to admit that it was not very green,  but that could change in just a short amount of time.  For the local yokels, Gibbs garden is open with 20 million Daffodils.  You heard it correctly...  I hope to go there on Monday, March 17.

Back to the Greenway.  Our assignment to the photo group in our subdivision for this month it "centered."  The object, as I understand, is to compose the picture so that when it is viewed, ones eyes will be drawn to the center of the photo.  Another aspect is to ask a question, "Does the subject belong in the center of the photo?"  Last months project was to have the subject based on the "rule of thirds."

We summit 3 photos only.  I like to start early on the assignment and try to take more than the minimum.  I t gives me opportunity to try on improving which ones that I will submit.

Do these photos fulfill the requirement?

  1. Honestly, they're both spot on for the assignment... my eyes were immediately drawn to the center of both pictures... I personally like the tall trees slightly better! Great work and I cannot wait to see all those flowers when you post those pictures! Happy Spring!
