I needed to take a picture of a colleague and will use them for two different results. The first photo is straight out of the camera and has to do with composition. Notice the grain on the door in the background. Does it not look as if cat or even Batgirl is stalking him? The lesson, be aware of the background for your picture.
The second photo has been touched up to get rid of the color cast, but more importantly, the show you "Ray's Photo Dieting." After processing in Lightroom, I brought the photo into Photoshop Elements editor, which has a function for 'slimming.' Notice the difference in the width of his face.
I'm surprised the 1st one came out so dark, I originally thought that was the one that you had done something with since the color was also deeper... but I like the 2nd one better and the 'bat' in the wood grain is very cool!
