December 31, 2016

Good Bye, 2016!

We took a tour of the Pebble Hill Plantation while in Thomasville, GA and it was the best plantation that we have toured, albeit, we can count that number on one hand.  It was amazing to see some of the 'modern' updates that were incorporated into the newest re-build.  The following is a link worth perusing.  No photographs are allowed inside, as is the case of the Biltmore Mansion in Asheville.

These are photos of the grounds and particularly of the flowers that are blooming on December 30.  The log cabin is a schoolhouse on the property.

  1. I have never been to a plantation... I think I should tour one! The place looks lovely. I also checked out the website and it's amazing to me how these types of places are popular for weddings. everyone seems to want this sort of rustic / country feel to their weddings these days.. very quaint!
