"Jesus is the Reason for the Season" We read it, we say it, we write it and we think it.
We have Jesus, the Babe in the Manger. We have the Season, which is different in the lives of many. Yes, "Jesus is the Reason for the Season," BUT what is the Reason?
The reality is that Jesus was born so that, ultimately, He we would die on the Cross. When He died on the Cross, He was providing the payment for the sins of mankind to God. It was a gift from God.
"For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23.
However, as with any gift, one must accept it in order to have it. By accepting what Jesus did, His dying on the Cross to pay the penalty for your sin, one receives eternal life and not death, that is, eternal death.
Simply put, By accepting Jesus Christ as their Savior, that is, accepts His payment as payment for ones sin, will have eternal like.
It is the most important choice one has to make in life!
"But as many as receive Him (His payment for our sin), to them He gave the right to become children of God, ..." John 1:12.
